A LUTHERAN IS... a Christian who believes that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of all humanity. Lutherans believe salvation comes by the grace of God, through faith in Christ Jesus, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, as revealed in Holy Scriptures.
WAYS TO JOIN OUR FAMILY
Baptism
We believe that baptism is a gift of grace. We therefore baptize infants, children, and adults. Unbaptized persons, who, after a period of instruction and nurture, confess their faith in Christ, are baptized in the name of the Triune God, and received as members.
Transfer
For members of other Lutheran congregations, a letter of transfer is requested from the former congregation.
Affirmation of Faith
For baptized members of other Christian congregations, or baptized persons returning to an active faith life after being absent from a congregational home, they publicly express their faith and are received as members.
Pastor's instruction classes are offered for renewal and instruction in basic teachings of the Lutheran faith.
